  1. The Casino

    The Casino in Asbury Park, New Jersey, brings back memories of the glory days of this Jersey Shore community and "Greetings from Asbury Park." Today it remains a landmark in dire need of repair. Although its marvelous carousel was dismantled long ago, it can still be heard in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to have riden its horses.

Over the Memorial Day weekend, runners from all over the country come to this seaside community to run one of the largest five mile races in the country that starts and ends alongside the boardwalk.

    It only seems fitting that the man who wrote "The Kid from Red Bank" should be honored with a theater that is named for him. The Count Basie Theatre is a downtown theater in Red Bank, New Jersey that hosts many top line acts.

    This is the Sea Girt Lighthouse during the day. It sits next to the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea Girt Pavillion.
