    Located in Adalaj Village, the Adalaj Step-well is 18km away from Ahmedabad City, and 6 km from Gandhinagar.

    The monument was built and put to use in 1499 A.D.

    It has wonderful convergence of Hindu, Islamic and Jainism forms of architecture in it. This five storried step-well once had been a busy place in terms of social gatherings, trade, religious activities etc.

    Today, it is very nicely maintained by Archeological Survey of India, nodal agency for conservation of historical places in India.

    One must take this place into Trip Plan maps, if coming down to India as a tourist.
