    I Dream of Cake's cake-makers have backgrounds in the visual arts -- so it isn't surprising the shop's works of art can be seen, not eaten, by most city dwellers.

    Open by appointment only (and quite pricey), I Dream of Cake is still worth a peek through the windows at fantasy cakes in shapes including Louis Vuitton handbags, Jabba The Hut and a buttercream-frosted Eiffel Tower.

  6. Downtown Asheville

    There were many homeless, all of which seemed to be musically gifted as just about all of them had a guitar. I like this shot as it shows just how opposite people can be.

    I personally haven't witnessed such sights elsewhere around the world. In remote Scottish Highlands and Islands you often run across phone booths, stations, hostels and post boxes with no obvious link to humanity but a road or a well trodden path.
