The George Washington House is more noted for having George Washington as a tenant for three months in 1751. George Washington, on his only visit outside of America, left Virginia and boarded a vessel bound for Barbados.
The Getty Center is situated just off the the San Diego Freeway in the Santa Monica Mountains, overlooking Los Angeles, California and the Pacific Ocean. It opened in 1997 and was designed by lead architect Richard Meier (landscaping architect Laurie Olin).
