Jack Rabbit Trading Post
A famous Route 66 trading post since 1949, Jack Rabbit has most of the usual stuff found in trading posts throughout the Southwest. The thing it has that sets it apart from the others is a large rabbit that you can pose on for pictures, as well as the "HERE IT IS" sign at the entrance.

Ho Chi Minh Highway
The modern day Ho Chi Minh Trail is more symbolic than exact – it’s not the original trail, but a relatively new highway, which was completed in 2002 to the chagrin of many who believed it to be a foolish endeavor, a colossal waste of money, and a tribute to an artifact of war that represents bloodshed, death, and to some, defeat.
Despite the images of war, a journey along this road, as it winds along the Truong Son Mountains, is one of immense beauty, with a diverse population of ethnic minorities and a varied landscape: farm land and bucolic emerald fields; soft, swelling hills; ruddy, rolling rivers; hardwood rainforests, waterfalls, miles of rice paddy, cornfields, black pepper farms, rubber tree forests, and coffee plantations.
The best way to experience it? Hire an Easy Rider–they’re a group of freelance motorbike guides, based in the Central Highlands and South Central Coast, who take travelers on the back of their bikes to see “real Vietnam”. -
Tough Old Corolla
I went to Great Ocean Road driving my old toyota corolla ( 1987). It takes 12 hours to drive along the road to 12 Apostles.

Independence Pass
Independence Pass is a 12,095 foot high summit mountain pass which connects Leadville and Aspen. It is a windy road with steep, scary drop-offs along the side and is only open usually between June and September.

Dustin Shuler's Spindle - Berwyn, Illinois
Dustin Schuler's 1989 sculpture, featuring eight cars impaled on a huge pole, is fittingly displayed in the parking lot of Cermak Plaza in Berwyn Illinois. It's a road trip must-see destination if you're in the Chicago area, best seen while in the afterglow from eating a pair of Chicago-style hot dogs.
