The name of the Old City is "Pelhourino" and it is the historic center of Salvador in Bahia. It was built by the Portuguese colonists, but the culture and religion are East African (Angolan mostly, and another country I forget).

It came out of nowhere and lucky for us Old San Juan has a plethora of awnings, but this dude was prepared and whipped a brolly out of nowhere. It was raining like crazy!
