The park contains the tallest sand dunes in North America, rising about 750 feet from the floor of the San Luis Valley on the western base of the Sangre de Cristo Range, covering about 19,000 acres. The dunes were formed from sand deposits of the Rio Grande and its tributaries, flowing through the San Luis Valley.
This is the Outer Hebrides through and through. Yes, it's windswept, cold, often grey, but the white sandy beaches, wild and remote landscapes and amazing feeling of community makes it one spot in the world I shall return to again and again.
People never expect these pristene white sandy beaches in the Western Isles of Scotland; which is why they are often deserted. This is a perfect opportunity to let yourself be enveloped by nature and feel like your the only person in the world.
The Agate Bay harbor breakwater extends several hundred meters into Lake Superior in Two Harbors, MN and provides one of the most dramatic and accessible views to be had of Lake Superior along Minnesota's "North Shore". An especially thrilling experience is to boldly walk out during the beginnings of a storm and to experience the power of the lake first hand.

Black Sand,Transparent water, Quite enviroment, fisherman land, This small small beach was the highlight of one of road trips around Martinique. Local People hang out there and there is a pier to sit a breath it all!!!!!
