Plagued by decades of war, the tiny Mediterranean country of Lebanon continues to surprise and survive, finding its own way in the turbulent Middle-Eastern region and 21st-century.
The Dead Sea (Hebrew: יָם הַמֶּלַח, Yām Ha-Melaḥ, "Sea of Salt"; Arabic: ألبَحْر ألمَيّت, al-Baḥrᵘ l-Mayyitⁱ, "Dead Sea") is a salt lake between the West Bank and Israel to the west, and Jordan to the east. At 420 metres (1,378 ft) below sea level,[2] its shores are the lowest point on Earth that are on dry land.
This is the Sea Girt Lighthouse during the day. It sits next to the Atlantic Ocean and the Sea Girt Pavillion.

This belongs with the photo under sail, as it is one of the little coves we visited on our sailing trip off Mull and Iona. This is Balfour Bay on Erraid, a tiny island off south-west tip of Mull.
