  2. Tunnel View, Yosemite National Park

    Find your inner Ansel Adams from the fantastic vista point at Tunnel View in Yosemite National Park.

    Located on Highway 41 just before Wawona Tunnel as you leave Yosemite Valley, the view from the parking lot is one of the most photographed in the park.

    From here you can see El Capitan on the left, Bridalveil Falls on the right and Half Dome in the distance.

  4. Lewis Creek

    Lewis Creek, is a small trail, that is outside of Fish Camp, near Yosemite National Park, California. It's filled w/wildlife, water filled creek (when its Late Winter or Early Spring), tall pine trees, and possible-- Red Woods; and its a nice trail to take a stroll around to appreciate nature.

    In some conditions, its really necessary to wear snowblind sun glasses to prevent getting snow blind, boots, since the snow can reach upto 6' deep.

    It's off of Highway 41 North towards Yosemite, and have to go past Sierra Sky Ranch, which is about 2-5 miles from there, and you have to look closely for small signs that reads Lewis Creek ;)

    This charming little restaurant, located in the heart of Grass Valley, CA, claims to be "voted best lunch restaurant in Nevada County." We haven't eaten at many restaurants in Nevada County, but I would not challenge their claim. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive.

    We were there for lunch (they also serve dinner) and my husband had the Ortega Chile Hamburger and I had Grilled Turkey with melted Jack cheese on top of marinated artichoke hearts.

    For an unforgettable dining experience there is nothing else like the Sherman Restaurant. What was once an Army transport ship has been completely renovated and beautifully transformed into the only "on the water" restaurant in the entire San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula.
