The Notting Hill Carnival takes place every year in London during the August Bank Holiday. It is the second Carnival after that of Rio for number of participants.
Notting Hill Carnival is a feast of carribbean delights transported to trendy London town. With countless culinary treats, thronging crowds and music and dancing all around, it's easy to get caught up in the moment!
At the Notting Hill Carnival, as the floats make their melodic way down the streets interspersed with dancers and musicians, the crowds grow deeper and deeper and most people are vying for room to catch a glimpse of the spectacle. Some people are lucky though, and with a bit of mum's help, can enjoy privilidged front row seats!
Coit Tower stands atop Telegraph Hill in San Francisco's Pioneer Park, and offers fantastic views of San Francisco including the Golden Gate Bridge, the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park ("Aquatic Park"), Alcatraz, Pier 39, Angel Island, Treasure Island, the Bay Bridge, Russian Hill, the Financial District, Lombard Street, and Nob Hill.
Located in Hampstead Heath just to the North of London, Parliament Hill lends a great view of the city of London. The heath itself is a wonderful retreat away from the city life into nature.
