Sometimes you feel as you and the road are one!
This was taken from the road in Nevada and is dedicated to Pixelchik (Lou) for both her kindness and photographic talents.
When the sun begins to shine I hear a song from another time and fade away
And fade away
Just close your eyes and Ill take you there
This place is warm without a care
~Sugar Ray
There's a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
~Page/Plant
This image is dedicated to my friend MrOmega.
Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won't you come out to play!
Look around round round
~Lennon/McCartney
This was taken a few days ago passing through the Green River and Rock Springs area of Wyoming on I-80. Tomorrow it's off to Iowa to pick up a load of liquid eggs for Southern Alabama and then it's homeward bound to Florida!
I took this shot of my truck at a rest area on I-380 in Iowa right before the bottom fell out of this black cloud. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good!
Another shot from the "driver's seat" on my way across Wyoming last month.
This will be the last winter road shot for a while in this series and I have also included this image in my recent YouTube video titled A Trucker's View of America.
Interstate 80 in Northern Nevada was shut down this morning in several locations due to smoke from recent fires. I was happy to be hauling cream today and not gasoline.
A scenic ride through Utah on I-80 a few miles east of Salt Lake City and south of the Wasatch Range. I remember the first time I came through here years ago and it blew me away.
This shot was taken off I-15 in the Mojave National Preserve near the California Nevada state line.
