It is impossible to absorb all the art when walls, floor, and ceiling overflow, but it helps to focus on one element at a time.
On the famous St Peter's Square in Vatican City you find the Vatican Post Office.
Allthough the country is tiny it has it's own holy stamps. Every year again the Vatican issues new colourful stamps which become more then often collectors items.
These two nuns were chitchatting in front of the office about the weather or last evenings Bingo.
Inside St Peter's Basilica this single shaft of light shone through one of the skylights. I'd love to go back and get a perfect shot of these, wide enough to show where it hits the floor.
The immense scale of St. Peter's Basilica is hard to fathom even when standing at the east end of the central nave.
The Vatican Museum has, as all the other buildings in the Vatican, impressive architecture.
