Just off the famous Galata bridge in the EminönĂ¼ neighboordhoud a big and old market-hall stands in front of you, Istanbul's Egyptian Bazaar. This spice market was built in 1664 and is filled with exotic fragrances such as spices, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, lokum (Turkish Delight).
The wide corridors of the Grand Bazaar are lined with jewelry stores, leather stores, and others that invite tourists to shop till they drop.
