   Sarajevo Market

   A scene of carnage during the war, when, in 1994, a mortar shell was dropped on the marketplace. Today, it's filled with people and fresh produce.

   After the Storm, Sarajevo

   A view up Titova towards the Eternal Flame as the sun came out after a storm at day's end in Sarajevo. The pedestrian street veering to the right from the Eternal Flame leads to the picturesque Old Town.

   Sarajevo Hillside

   One of Sarajevo's many minarets under stormy skies. The thin band of trees at the top of the hillside is typical of the city because the rest of the trees had to be used as firewood during the war.
