Driving along Highway One (I think not too far from Bodega Bay), we stopped to admire the coastline. It was wicked windy.

Pull off the scenic stretch of California's Highway 1 near Piedras Blancas, just north of San Simeon, and you may find yourself standing a few feet away from a few hundred of these enormous seals. But, stay on the designated board walk--males can weigh up to two and half tons and are known to be bit cranky.
Sometimes in a rough storm coming in, we normally have high tides coming on shores and enjoying the available light is given. The snap of the fire capturing a chain reaction of the water crashing in.

This is one of the two large dinosaurs visible from the road in Cabazon, California. The companion to this brontosaurus is a T-Rex (also posted).
Poppy Field
I found this little waterfall in a beautiful redwood canyon in Limekiln State Park. You can camp there, but make your reservation early, probably January.
