  1. Another Planet (outside Las Vegas)

    My boyfriend and I took a helicopter ride from the Las Vegas strip to the Grand Canyon and back. On the trip back, after we felt safe we weren't going to crash and die in the canyon, we saw this.

    In the middle of the Simpson Desert lays an oasis called Dalhousie Springs.

    Because of the presence of the springs it is a very green place and there is a fair bit of wildlife. Next to lots of birds and an amazing amount of irritating flies there are two full blood dingo's wandering around.

    I had never been to Death Valley before and was amazed by the out of this world landscape. I felt like I was on another planet or like I had gone back in time coupled with the fact that it was 120 degrees approximately.
