   Fisher Tower

   The drive along Highway 128 on the way to Moab, Utah is a pleasant drive that meanders along the Colorado River. Suddenly, the road curves and this majestic view takes your breath away.

   The Sutro Tower broadcast tower exists to make sure every little nook and cranny of the San Francisco bay area has their opportunity to watch American Idol.

   Tower view

   With over 400 steps to climb, thank goodness there's at least a view from the windows and platform levels of Giotto's Bell Tower in Florence. The campanile of the Palazzo Vecchio stands proud in the distance.

   This is a northern view from the observation deck of the Sears Tower in Chicago.

   Fire!

   A soldier in period costume fires a replica musket. The smell of gunpower and the original setting helps the immagination go back to the times of pirates and invaders.

   Brunelleschi's dome of Santa Maria del Fiore, as seen through the Gothic archways in Giotto's bell tower, dominates the skyline of Florence

   Nishinomaru Sanju Yagura

   Nishinomaru Sanju Yagura (Western Three-storied Tower) at Hikone-jo. Nishinomaru means "western bailey" and Yagura is a compound of "ya" (arrow) and "kura" (storehouse), which hints at its original function.
