Driving along Highway One (I think not too far from Bodega Bay), we stopped to admire the coastline. It was wicked windy.

Pull off the scenic stretch of California's Highway 1 near Piedras Blancas, just north of San Simeon, and you may find yourself standing a few feet away from a few hundred of these enormous seals. But, stay on the designated board walk--males can weigh up to two and half tons and are known to be bit cranky.

Every night many kangaroos die on this highway. The kangaroos are atrachted by the warmth of the road.
Its either leaving Los Angeles, or running away to Palm Springs. Either way this is a site to see, windmills stretch for miles, providing many with a source of alternate energy.

A vista along the Pacific Coast Highway just past Big Sur. We found it by chance just as the sun was setting.
I took this photo while being inside of a moving car. I just loved how the barn was an American flag colors, and the contrast of it was pretty amazing.
