The nearest highway is hundreds of miles away; a cruise ship is the easiest way to see this unspolit wonderland.

To get this shot I took two separate photos, one bright and one dark and I overlapped them when I got home. It captured what I was seeing so I was thrilled when the photo came out.
After spending most of a week in our tents watching rainstorms pass thru we decided to bail out of the Southern Picketts in the North Cascades NP. Our choices were slim - a long 2 day traverse involving several rock faces, or the quick route - a descent of 4,000' thru Devil's Club,downed timber and other underbrush.
