On the roof of the 60 story building where I was working.
I lured my acrophobic boss up to the roof with me, who watched in terror, witnessing my energetic shift from the safe vantage point along the railing, to the exposed perch that I knew would give me the most direct view down.
Laying flat, with my legs twined around a pole for balance, I stretched as far over the edge as possible for a unique view of Wan Chai District below.

This was a 25 minute exposure taken from the rim of the Grand Canyon well after dark. The full moon was rising behind me and provides all the illumination for this photo.
For your lights to burn you need electricity and for electricity to get to the lightbulbs you need wires, lots and lots of wires

While in New York City last year, I stayed with a friend who was busy with work or family much of the time I was in town. The night before I left to came home, however, we met for dinner in Chinatown, then meandered back to her place on Wall Street.
