Getting inside la Pedrera is already a breathtaking experience in itself. Looking at the sky from its courtyard makes your head spin with shocking beauty and perspective.

I lured my acrophobic boss up to the roof with me, who watched in terror, witnessing my energetic shift from the safe vantage point along the railing, to the exposed perch that I knew would give me the most direct view down.
Laying flat, with my legs twined around a pole for balance, I stretched as far over the edge as possible for a unique view of Wan Chai District below.

One of the best ways to see the islands off the West Coast of Scotland is by boat - indeed, most visitors access them by ferry. Even better than the ferries, however, is the chance to sail around the islands, gliding in and out of the all the rarely-visited inlets and channels, such as Balfour Bay.
