    If you are ever in Greenville, South Carolina, stop in for brunch at Mary's Restaurant. Who knew that shrimp and grits is so good in the morning.

    According to Christian tradition, it was in the grotto underneath this Bethlehem church that Jesus was born. Since the outbreak of the second intifada in 2000, few tourists have ventured to this Palestinian town to visit the church.

  8. Country Life in the Mekong Delta

    One morning in the Vietnamese town of Chau Doc, located near the Cambodian border, I rented a motorbike so that I could spend a day leisurely puttering past hamlets and fields in the surrounding countryside. When I came upon these kids -- they had just spent the day in the fields with their parents and were now on their way home -- we smiled and laughed at the enjoyable sight we were to each other...something we never could have done had we been rushing by in automobiles.

    This Israeli traveler is enjoying a beer and the beach on the Thai island of Ko Phangan, famous for the monthly Full Moon Party which draws thousands of revelers from around the world. While that night of the month can get a little congested and crazy, all other days look much like this.
