  1. Corinne, Utah

Corinne, Utah isn't even a whistle top of a town. Its rambling meadows are situated in the wetlands at the northeast corner of the Great Salt Lake, just minutes off Interstate 15 at Brigham City.

  2. Mission Creek

Mission Creek is really more of a canal -- a former creek. The land around it was originally marsh, and was developed in to railyards and shipyards.

  3. Cirino's at Main Street

This charming little restaurant, located in the heart of Grass Valley, CA, claims to be "voted best lunch restaurant in Nevada County." We haven't eaten at many restaurants in Nevada County, but I would not challenge their claim. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive.

We were there for lunch (they also serve dinner) and my husband had the Ortega Chile Hamburger and I had Grilled Turkey with melted Jack cheese on top of marinated artichoke hearts.

  4. Laguna Santa Rosa

Probably the most ethereal, remote, superlunary, highest, surreal, lonesome camping spot anywhere in any National Park. A BBQ, table, refuge and loo in the middle of nothing.
