  1. Þórsmörk National Park

Located in the South of Iceland, Þórsmörk is a large valley divided by the glacial river Krossa. Accessible only to four wheel drive vehicles, it's remote location keeps this fantastic natural area truly pristine.

It is possible to catch a ride to the valley's mouth on a charter offered by the company, Reykjavik Excursions.

Famous trails leading in and out of Þórsmörk include the Fimmvorduhals trek through Þórsmörk's magnificent Godaland, and Iceland's most popular trail, the Laugavegur.

Not to be missed are the park's small glacial lagoon, the Godaland area, and the narrow Stakkholtsgja canyon with a suprise waterfall at it's end.
