   Gorky Park

   Gorky Park has been described as the Russian Disneyland, although anyone visiting the park with those expectations will be sorely disappointed. I would describe it as more of the Russian equivalent to a county fair.

   Novodevichy Monastery

   The Novodevichy Monastery was founded in 1524. Novodevichy translates as "new maiden", and over the centuries, this monastery was home to numerous royal women - many of whom were sequestered there against their wills.
