    This is a small boutique winery in the El Dorado County, California area, which is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California. You can taste many different varieties of wine, enjoy a picnic on the grassy grounds while taking in the majestic view of the rugged Sierra Nevada Mountains.

    This charming little restaurant, located in the heart of Grass Valley, CA, claims to be "voted best lunch restaurant in Nevada County." We haven't eaten at many restaurants in Nevada County, but I would not challenge their claim. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive.

    We were there for lunch (they also serve dinner) and my husband had the Ortega Chile Hamburger and I had Grilled Turkey with melted Jack cheese on top of marinated artichoke hearts.

    After a pleasant country drive you are greeted by a long, sweeping driveway up to the winery. The winery is located on a small hill and overlooks Pilot Peak.

    Entering into the tasting room, the winery owner/wine maker and his wife warmly greet you and pour a taste of their white wine.
