    I Dream of Cake's cake-makers have backgrounds in the visual arts -- so it isn't surprising the shop's works of art can be seen, not eaten, by most city dwellers.

    Open by appointment only (and quite pricey), I Dream of Cake is still worth a peek through the windows at fantasy cakes in shapes including Louis Vuitton handbags, Jabba The Hut and a buttercream-frosted Eiffel Tower.

    This 'small from the outside-big from the inside Museum', designed by Frank Lloyd Wright contains beautiful art from as well contemporary artists as the old masters.

    Due to the circular architecture the exhibited art is seen in a continuous flow walking down or up the 'spiral'.

    Located at the banks of the Terek River, this hotel used as a "base" for the Russian army during the Beslan Hostage Crisis (see Wikipedia entry of the same name).
