   The Basilica Cistern

   One of the largest of the cisterns under Istanbul. A giant cathedral like space full of columns it holds nearly 80,000 gallons of water.

   Zouk Mikael is a town in in the Keserwan District of Mount Lebanon. The town is famous for its Ottoman era old souk, which was renovated and restored in 1995.

   Battlefield of World War I where the British - ANZAC forces attmepted an amphibious assault on Turkey. The young Turkish colonel commanding the defenders later became the father of a new, secular and independent Turkey - Kemal Ataturk.
