   Dolores Park is named for the nearby Mission Dolores and is a a common hangout for San Franciscans on a sunny day. The park is basically an expansive grass field on a hill with tennis and basketball courts on one side, a clubhouse and sidewalk through the middle, and great views from its highest point.

   Opened in 2004, this park is at the edge of the Port of Oakland, and to get there you have to weave your way through all the trucks, trains and shipping companies. The view is worth the trip though, a big panorama of the Bay Bridge and downtown San Francisco as well as the Port.
