  1. Chameau Restaurant

This is a French Moroccan restaurant on Fairfax Ave., one block down from Canters Restaurant. The food is delicious.

  2. Landgasthof Pension Jägerhof

The "Jägerhof" in Staufen-Etzenbach is a beautiful restaurant at the edge of the forest at the beginning of the Münstertal.

There is little traffic to disturb one, while sitting on the large terrace/beer garden and a lovely view into the valley.

The menu offers local meals with a fine touch "extra" that raises it above average - and all that comes in good sized portions at decent prices.

  3. La Semproniana

The La Semproniana restaurant in Barcelona is one of the best spots in town where to have a good meal without breaking the bank. If you fancy a nice place with some nouvelle cuisine twists on the traditional catalan cuisine and a cozy atmosphere, that is.

It is a special place to eat in for a number of reasons.

  4. El Mirasol

Palm Springs best mexican restaurant. It can get a bit busy in the evenings, but it's worth the wait.

  5. Wild Ginger

A really small place, serving Asian cuisine. The food is really good and the mango cheesecake is awesome.

  6. Pagolac

in an area of San franciso called little Saigon pagolac is a fantastic and modern Vietnamese food.

  7. Jaleo (Crystal City)

From jaleo.com: "Jaleo offers an extensive menu of 60 different hot and cold tapas reflecting the rich regional diversity of classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine. Tapas are the traditional small dishes of Spain, the small plates of this and that served at bars and cafes across the country."

  8. Little Italy

Little Italy in San Diego is different. A stable ethnic business and residential community since the 1920's, Little Italy today represents Downtown San Diego’s oldest continuous neighborhood business district.

  9. Ngon Restaurant

Ngon means "delicious," and, for authentic Vietnamese, this restaurant lives up to its name and gets my vote for the best in Vietnam. Ngon has become a real Ho Chi Minh institution and is always packed with both locals and tourists; they've even built a new location nearby to handle the overflow.

  10. The Pickled Herring

No one would have guessed the success of a new restaurant on Water Street in Eastport, but it has experienced substantial accolades from residents and visitors alike. Owner and chef Gary Craig did the unthinkable by not even offering fried seafood on their menu, and instead offered up menu choices that you would expect to find in gourmet establishments in big cities, along with a decent wine and beer list and a full bar.

The success shows on Friday and Saturday night when The Pickled Herring is hopping and as patrons wait patiently for a table.
