   Königstein Fortress

   Königstein Fortress is located in Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz), Germany and is situated on a mountain top overlooking the town of Königstein and the river Elbe.
   
   Nowadays, visitors can walk a steep path to the fortress or take an elevator built into the side of the rock.
   
   It is about one hour drive from Dresden.
