   A fantastic used book store in the Inner Richmond district of San Francisco. It's a bit out of the way for the typical tourist, but it's also well worth a visit, in part because of the excellent selection of books, and in part because Green Apple also happens to be on one of the city's most vibrant (and under-appreciated) retail districts.

   Probably the largest new and used book store in the world, Powells is a book lovers paradise. With 3 floors and 7 different rooms, the city of books requires a map to find your way around.

   A great book store in the Los Feliz area of LA. The have a massive selection of oddball design books, hot rod decoration books, pin up girl collections, and fashion books.
