  1. Dobroye

    Located on the eastern edge of the city of Vladimir, the Dobroye neighborhood is not generally visited by tourists. Mostly known as a sleepy neighborhood, filled with non-descript Soviet-era apartment buildings, it is also home to a few interesting churches.

    Located in the eastern part of the city center along Bolshaya Mosckovskaya, just past the Hotel Vladimir is a restaurant called Shesh Besh. Shesh Besh is an Azerbaijani restaurant, and in my opinion this is the best food to be had in Vladimir.

  8. Old Believers' Cathedral

    Despite its location in the center of the historic town of Vladimir, few people are aware of the existance of the beautiful Old Believers' Church, dating from 1644. So-called Old Believers separated from the Russian Orthodox Church in 1666 over a disagreement with reforms instituted by the Church hierarchy.

  9. Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church... and Planetarium!

    The Nikolo-Kremlevskaya Church, located on Bolshaya Moskovskaya, the main street of historic downtown Vladimir, was built in 1761. It currently serves as the Vladimir Planetarium!

  10. Cathedral of St. Dmitri

    This uniquely designed and intricately carved white stone church was built in 1190.
