You can taste many different varieties of wine, enjoy a picnic on the grassy grounds while taking in the majestic view of the rugged Sierra Nevada Mountains.

    Palmer Park is a city park located in the center of Colorado Springs. It is surprisingly large with dozens of trails used for hiking, biking and horseback riding.

    This is a small, boutique winery located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of northern California. The winery is owned and operated by the Hildebrand family.

  8. Pilot Peak Winery

    If you happen to be in Grass Valley, CA, and you are looking to taste some Nevada/Sierra County wines make sure you make the trip to Pilot Peak Winery.

    After a pleasant country drive you are greeted by a long, sweeping driveway up to the winery. The winery is located on a small hill and overlooks Pilot Peak.

    Entering into the tasting room, the winery owner/wine maker and his wife warmly greet you and pour a taste of their white wine.

  9. Lewis Creek

    Lewis Creek, is a small trail, that is outside of Fish Camp, near Yosemite National Park, California. It's filled w/wildlife, water filled creek (when its Late Winter or Early Spring), tall pine trees, and possible-- Red Woods; and its a nice trail to take a stroll around to appreciate nature.

    In some conditions, its really necessary to wear snowblind sun glasses to prevent getting snow blind, boots, since the snow can reach upto 6' deep.

    It's off of Highway 41 North towards Yosemite, and have to go past Sierra Sky Ranch, which is about 2-5 miles from there, and you have to look closely for small signs that reads Lewis Creek ;)

  10. North Cheyenne Canyon

    North Cheyenne Canyon is a jewel in the city parks system of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Located a mere 15 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, driving up into this canyon takes you worlds away from the city into a 1,000 foot deep granite canyon and on into the rugged mountains themselves.
