Place to see: Traffic Light Tree, London, United Kingdom

Stop!!

Stop!!

I'm sure when greeted by such a sight you'd be be inclined to stop and take stock. Although the safest thing to do is probably to do a U-turn and find another route cause I don't think you're going to make sense of this anytime soon!

Now I have seen some traffic nightmares in my time: the streets of Catania, or trying to circumnavigate the Arc De Triomphe in Paris, or (my personal favourite) freewheeling down a hill in Kampala in a matatu.

This is on a par, or worse.

Can you imagine trying to work out what to do at this junction?

Lucky therefore that this is a piece of artwork in the middle of your ordinary, easy to manage roundabout. The trafficlight tree on London's Isle of Dogs could certainly get the blood boiling, but only over what might have been.
