Chinese Culture in SF

Chinese Culture in SF

When you walk through San Francisco's Chinatown you feel like you've entered another country. Suddenly the supermarkets are selling exotic foods and everyone is speaking a different language. The vendors are often running about in the streets visiting one another, yelling or laughing depending on the task at hand.

North Beach Church

North Beach Church

This beautiful church sits alongside Washington Square park in the Italian neighborhood of San Francisco. It offers great scenery for those sunny days when everyone is lounging in the grass.

The Transamerican Building

The Transamerican Building

This building is a staple in the San Francisco skyline. It is actually built on a rolling foundation so that it will not crumble during an earthquake.

New Federal Building

The federal building on 7th in the afternoon with the sun peeking in from behind the modern steel architecture.

The Local

The Local

The new federal building on 7th st. is in the up and coming SOMA neighborhood where gentrification is taking place as we speak. There are many homeless people and vagabonds roaming the streets alongside trendy young folks who live in the surrounding loft buildings. This woman is walking with her dog in front of the cafe of the federal building.

Federal Building

Federal Building

The new federal building on 7th & Market st. is beautiful! San Francisco has definitely been adding some modern architecture to mix well with its old Victorian flair.

I like meeting interesting people and capturing their essence...
Finding the unnexpected/obvious/ twisted/ contradictory beauty in life, and capturing it, with a camera or through memorable moments and experiences.
Love the journey.
